Ultrar is an easy-to-use ultrasonic alarm system designed for intrusion detection in homes and apartments. Ultrar blankets an area of up to 600 feet with invisible, inaudible ultrasonic sound waves and sounds a piercing 85 decibel dual-tone alarm when an intruder enters the protected space.

The Ultrar can be used in enclosed rooms (usually placed in a corner facing across the room) or at the end of a long hallway to cover all the doors along the hall. It fills the area with a cone-shaped pattern up to 30' by 20' wide. Care must be taken to prevent pets and small children from entering the area when the alarm is armed. Also movement from curtains located by heat or air conditioning ducts can cause the alarm to sound so locating the Ultrar in a proper location is important.
